In this week’s episode of the Ski Summit Show, I’m excited to bring you updates from the real estate market, some awesome local events, and a fun dive into Summit County’s snowy history. Whether you’re thinking about buying a home in Breckenridge, Dillon, Keystone, or Silverthorne or just interested in what’s happening in our community, I’ve got something for you!
What's Happening in the Summit
First up, let’s talk about the Silverthorne First Fridays event happening this February. This month, we’re celebrating with the Wish Lantern Festival, a colorful and meaningful tradition inspired by both Latin American and Chinese New Year customs. The event is all about light, new beginnings, and hope as we celebrate the passing of the winter solstice. Join me on February 7th from 5:30 PM at the Silverthorne Pavilion to decorate lanterns, enjoy salsa dancing, and watch the lanterns float down the Blue River. It’s a great way to experience some local culture and kick off the warmer weather! Link for More >
Summit County Facts
Then, we’ll take a little trip back in time to 1898-1899, the year Summit County had its snowiest winter on record. Imagine snow so deep it forced locals to dig tunnels through Main Street! In this episode, I share some fun stories and photos from that winter, including the “snowstorm extravaganza” that went down in Breckenridge. It’s a good reminder of how resilient Summit County’s residents have always been. Read the Article >
Market in a Minute
Next, we dive into the Summit County real estate market. The market is showing strong activity as inventory starts to increase in preparation for spring. I break down the latest trends, including how inventory builds throughout the year and how demand has been changing. If you’re interested in Summit County homes, now is a great time to start keeping an eye on what’s coming up.
Listing of the Week
I’m showcasing a new listing this week: 27 Habitat Court in the Whispering Pines neighborhood. This property is just minutes from Keystone and offers ski-in/ski-out access, amazing insulation, and great sun exposure. It’s the perfect blend of convenience and comfort for anyone looking to make Summit County home, whether as a full-time residence or a getaway.
Be sure to tune into this week's show for all the details, and as always, feel free to reach out with any questions about real estate in Breckenridge, Keystone, Dillon, or Silverthorne. I’d love to help you find your perfect mountain retreat.
