As always, we offer valuable advice for homebuyers, and answer the question of the day.

Watch this week's episode below:

Short-term Rental Regulations in Summit County

Summit County officials are preparing for possible litigation from property owners over the county's recently-passed regulations on short-term rentals. The new regulations include caps on short-term rental licenses in unincorporated parts of the county, as well as a 35-booking limit for properties.

Due to the potential litigation, county officials have recommended that no further changes be made to short-term rental policies until the situation becomes clearer. However, the 35-booking limit and license caps will still move forward and take effect when licenses are up for renewal in September.

Despite the possible legal challenges, Summit County's attorneys remain confident that the regulations will be upheld, stating that they believe the claims that have been threatened are without merit.

Real Estate Tips: Making an Offer

In this episode, we also discuss an important piece of advice for homebuyers: making an offer even when a property isn't perfect. Many buyers wait for the ideal property that checks all the boxes, only to be outbid by numerous other buyers. Instead, Matt suggests considering properties that may have some give and take, as it could potentially save you money in the long run.
